About Danzer Bohemia

Complete range of veneers

Danzer Bohemia has constantly expanded its reach on the European veneer market in the short time since its founding in 1998. Today, the company supplies veneer to customers primarily in Central and Eastern Europe — especially the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Poland. Important customers are industrial processing plants that transform raw veneer from Danzer into spliced faces for the furniture industry. But Danzer Bohemia also supplies smaller operations such as joineries as well as providers of exclusive interior designs.

As a full-range provider of veneer, the company stocks a wide selection of European, North American and African species. The sales outlet can quickly procure a desired species that might not be in stock, thanks to the facility’s access to Danzer Group’s global resources. Danzer Bohemia stocks an average of 100 species, such as Beech, Oak, Ash, Cherry, Wenge and Zebrano. The facility also carries specialties and burls. In addition to standard thickness, Danzer Bohemia also produces veneer in special thicknesses of up to 2.5 millimeters.

Up to 70 different customer grades

Danzer Bohemia offers a braod range of services in addition to a wide selection of veneers. For example, customers can ask to have products sorted according to their specifications in up to 70 different ways by length, width and structure. Once the grade has been determined together with the customer, all subsequent orders will be processed accordingly.

Customers benefit as well from Danzer Bohemia's short delivery times. In most cases orders are delivered within 48 hours by the company’s own trucks. Customers also find it easy to deal with the international sales team in Melnik. For each regional market, Danzer Bohemia has a qualified sales representative who speaks the language of that particular region.

Top product quality thanks state-of-the-art technologies

Danzer Bohemia’s production facility, built in 2001, is the most modern and capable veneer plant in Europe. Approximately 480 employees working in three shifts produce approximately 40 million square meters of veneer each year. The plant has eight production lines: five slicing lines, two peeling lines and a stay-log. The Melnik veneer plant is equipped with state-of-the-art technologies. Danzer Group itself, for example, developed the VS 4000 slicing machine. Danzer Bohemia uses modern technologies not only to offer the highest quality products, but also to make sure that Danzer Bohemia is always ready for a flexible response to any new customer requirement.
